Minutes for the 2022 Annual General Meeting June 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM.

  1. Quorum: Farley Warshaw, Tournament Director, stated that there is a quorum, and that the annual general meeting can take place.
  2. Meeting: Warshaw stated that the Annual meeting is opened at 10:00 AM at the above date.
  3. Membership Fee: The membership fee is now $30.00 for the year. The Board recommends that we keep this.
    Discussion followed.

  4. Prize Fee: The prize fee is now $15.00. The Board recommends that we increase this to $20.00. The proposed prize fee categories will be:

A. $10 – Net prizes

B. $3 – CTP/Putting

C.$2 – End of the Year Prize (Projected $400 at end of year)

D. $2 – Skins

E. $2 – FWGAD Tournament fund (Projected $400 per year times 6 years = $2400)

F. $1 –  Ace Fund (Projected $220 at end of year)

*At the end of season, the Ace fund except for $100 will be transferred to the EOY fund.

Discussion followed. There were some suggestions regarding ACE fund and FWGAD Tournament Fund or End of the Year Prize.
a. Increase prize fee to $20.00.

5. Start/End of Golf Season:

A. August-June (10 events with a break in December)

B. September – June (10 events with no break in December)

C. September-May (9 events with no break in December)

D. August-May (10 events with no break in December)

The Board recommends that we choose Option B. Discussion followed. Majority of those in attendance chose Option B

6. Player of the Year: The current Standing Rule is to award points for the number of tournaments played. The Board recommends that we allow the PCDGC members to select the Player of the Year.

Passed to retain the current standing rule (award points for number of tournaments played)

7. Handicap Rule: The Board propose that we adjust the rule for tee box placements:

  1. Players with handicap of 14.9 or less will use Blue tee box but can choose to move up to the higher tee box.
  2. Players with handicap of 15.0 or better will use White tee box but can choose to move up to the higher tee box.
  3. Players 60-69 regardless of handicap will use White tee box but can choose to move up to the higher tee box.
  4. Senior Citizen players (age 70 years or older) regardless of handicap will use Red tee box but can choose to move up to the higher tee box.
    Note: The player must choose which tee box at the beginning of each tournament.

8. Authorization to Participate in Other Tournaments: There are several tournaments that the PCDGC might be interested in playing. The members need to authorize the PCDGC to participate.

  1. Winter Cup- PCDGC has been asked to host again. This tournament could earn PCDGC up to $1000.00 for future FWGAD Tournament.
    Members voted to host the Winter Cup.
  2. I-10 Cup – PCDGC participates in the I-10 with Arizona. It is our turn to host this event.
  3. Members voted to approve the participation of I-10 and to host it.
  4. CA Cup –Members voted to approve if the CA Cup does happen
  5. Match Play – This is a PCDGC event. The board recommends the members approve for another year.
    The members voted not to approve this.

9. Fundraising: PCDGC has used the Superbowl to raise funds. There are also other fundraising ideas. It is necessary to have a person lead this.

Members voted to continue fundraising activities such as “Superbowl”.

PCDGC Cash App – Carlos Andrade (The Treasurer is responsible)

Fundraising – Dave Trimborn for Super Bowl  and Farley Warshaw for Winter Cup

Winter Cup Coordinator – Farley Warshaw

11. Elections;

President  David Ramirez (one year to complete Trimborn’s term)

12. New Business:

a. Pete Seiler shared the bylaws has language that needed to be changed to match what the members voted at the last year’s Annual General Meeting. When done, the changes will be shared with the members for their information.

b. Farley Warshaw proposed that PCDGC donate $100 to Mike Mabashov for youth deaf golfers’ program. David Ramirez moved to donate $100.00.
