Golfers, 

Today, 11 golfers gathered at Hemet Golf Club under beautiful weather, nestled in the scenic San Jacinto Valley. Hemet is known for its affordable lifestyle, especially appealing to retirees.

First of all, congratulations to Walt Witzcak for winning 1st place with the best net score! And two skins.  

Hats off to Pete Seiler, who powered through all 18 holes despite recovering from injuries—he didn’t give up on golf. Keep up the good work, Pete!

Three golfers—Dave, Farley, and Mark—played at Hemet yesterday to get a feel for the course. Interestingly, they all scored higher today. Mark, in particular, shot an impressive 82 yesterday, followed by a surprising 95 today. (Maybe he needs a little more oil in the brain!)

Welcome back to Dave Trimborn after a few months away—great to see you again!

Eddie Ewald, a die-hard baseball fan, shot a solid 73 net today but didn’t win due to his high handicap compared to three others. He did make a quirky record: all of his par-3 tee shots landed beautifully—right on the fringe! If only they had rolled onto the green, he might’ve taken a prize or two.

Tony Barksdale, our passionate Chicagoan and current PCDGC president, had a rough day on the greens—his putter just didn’t cooperate. Be sure to check out how many putts he made on the PCDGC website.

David Thompson, who RARELY misses any PCDGC event, almost missed this one—but made it just in time. Whew!  He won 4th and his putting continues to amaze us with 29.   

Kyle Bayarsky somehow found time to play golf today, despite his busy schedule with family activities. He proudly wore his NY Jets cap in memory of Ian Goldstein, who recently passed away. No doubt, Ian is smiling down on us!
