Golfers:
What a fun day for nine golfers—we must have nine lives! We enjoyed a beautiful day at El Prado.
No one finished under par, but hats off to Michael Mabashov, who shot a 78 from 6,900 yards. With his 3-handicap adjustment, he played impressively. His lovely wife and darling daughter even came to wish him luck.
Mike Finneran shot a 79 with 36 on front 9, and with his 6-handicap strokes, he posted a net 73—tying with Fadi Haddad, who shot 99 and, with his 26-handicap strokes, also finished at 73. Since Mike had the lower handicap, he claimed 1st place.
Robert Audette finished 4th and won one skin, while Farley Warshaw also secured one. Doug Ellis and Eddie Ewald earned skins as well. Unfortunately, Keith Adams went home empty-handed. But there is always next time.
Walt Witzcak opted to save prize money for future tournaments instead of awarding prizes this time.
The next PCDGC tournament is scheduled for March 15th at Jurupa Hills in Riverside—more details will be shared soon.
