Good evening everyone!
What a beautiful day to play golf! Those who missed today were sorely missed. Eleven golfers showed up and paid $75 instead of $55, but it was well worth it, as the cost to play at this superbly conditioned course is usually $100.
First and foremost, Kaden Adams, known for being a terrific footballer with three championship rings to his name, impressed us. Love his attitude—he’s destined for great things in the future. His dad, however, managed to outplay Kaden by a few strokes and won two skins. Congrats.
Secondly, Michael Mabashov showed his skill despite not playing often due to his busy schedule. He delivered a clutch performance, sinking a 12-foot putt on the last hole to secure first place by one over an old man, Mike Finneran. Not only that he won lowest putts with 31 and 3 skins. Good for him to feed his growing family.
Thirdly, Clayton George seized the chance to play near his workplace and shot 81 but opted out of prize. His dad joined in and had a great time, even though he shot 104. Clayton played well until the last few holes, where things unraveled a bit—but there’s always next time!
Fourth, Jose Seremno drove over 500 miles to participate and enjoyed himself despite his score but on the last hole he got CTP to cover some of his gas cost. He truly loves PCDGC, and we appreciate his dedication. He bowled last Thursday and nearly scored a 300 but split in the final frame, finishing with a 289.
Mark Bayarsky had some technical trouble, as his iPhone wasn’t charged to use GameBook, but he still had a blast—especially celebrating his birdie on the 8th hole, much like Mabby. However, Mabby took home the CTP, though he didn’t win the $6,500 offered by Soboba Casino.
John Maucere snagged the last spot after his show in Maryland was canceled. He showed up in an all-black golf outfit reminiscent of Gary Player’s old days and had a great time. He won 3rd place over Keith as he has a lower hc. Plus two skins.
Thanks to Dave Trimborn who took care of measurements and he did not win anything but he still had a blast.
Walt Witzcak also joined at the last minute and brought his big smile and positive attitude, making the day even more enjoyable for everyone.
Prize money will be sent as soon as the board approves and there are no disputes.
