Golfers:
Thirteen golfers came and conquered the pace, finishing before dusk. The last group could barely see the ball on the putting green. We had so much fun, especially with the delicious dinner served by the wonderful staff at Shaw II. Those who missed the golf and dinner were sorely missed. Congratulations to those who won some moola!
Please welcome Fadi Haddad and Juan Perez. A warm welcome back to John Maucere, who found time to join us for golf.
During dinner, we discussed the California Cup, which will be held during the first weekend in May in the SLO or Paso Robles area. We hope to gather at least 12 golfers for this event, so please mark your calendars.
We also talked about the match play that will take place in late winter; more information will follow soon.
It looks like we will start league play on either November 12 or 19 at Jurupa Hills or Fairmont. A special thanks to David Thompson for graciously volunteering to help out. More information will be sent.
See the picture of the golfers. I believe it was one of the best moments of camaraderie, especially since dinner was on-site and everyone enjoyed it. Hopefully, when possible, we can make the 19th hole a traditional gathering after the round.
